Thanksgiving Weekend

We had so much fun. Riding was great. Lots of great memories. I took this picture after uncle sean took the girls out for a ride. The girls had a little trouble staying on there bikes. It was so funny. I am so glad no one got hurt.

Twilight The Movie

Well today was the day. All the hipe scared me as to weather i would like the movie or not. But i was amazed that i enjoyed it very much. I was worried it would be very cruel and bloody. But it was not. I found that when the movie first started i was ok Edward is very handsome and i like the character. I was not sure that in my mind he would play the character they way i saw him in my head. Well as i watched he drew me more and more into the movie. By the end of the movie not only had he become this beautiful person but he was just so sexy. I guess as an adult to think at 17 year old boy is sexy is not a good thing but in real like i am sure he is 25. So thats ok. I think it is a great movie and that it would have been nice to read the book but if you don't then the movie will be great to.

Twilight

I am so excited. The movie comes out on Nov 21,2008. And i am there. My girls and i have been planning to go see this since we first heard it was coming out. I can't wait. I hope the the movie is a good as the book is suppose to be and the all the hype of the movie. I tried reading the book buy could not get into it. I am not a reader so i have picked up and put it down and then picked it up and then down. I guess i am a very visual person, so i have to see what they are all raving about. I have never been into vampires i just hope it is not scary. I have never been a scary movie person.

Thanksgiving

So many things to get ready. I feel a little over whelmed. Usually i am shopping and cooking. But this year we havd decided to go camping and have thanksgiving out there. I feel at a lose. I only have to bring a couple of things. I am in charge of the potatoes so i will bake twice baked potatoes. Then i am also making the creamed corn. And last but not least i am making the Peach cobbler. And not to mention i have to work the day before. So i guess i will be up early that morning and cooking everything i need at 5 am. That way i can just take and heat up there. We are planning on leaving for the desert at 6 in the morning so there will not be alot of time. Just seems so differant not doing all the normal cooking for lots of people. This will be the first time i don't spend the day with Lauren. I am a little bummed about that but what can you do. She decided that they didn't want to go camping so her and erik are gonna make there own dinner. It just makes me a little sad. He really doesn't enjoy going camping so its not his thing. I guess this is the first part of letting go. I asked her if it was ok that we go and she said mom its ok its not like its christmas. I would not want u to be gone for christmas. So it will be fun tawny is excited. I am looking forward to getting out.

Veterns Day

I have been so busy with things that i forgot to remember our soilders. My dad is a vetern and my brother is a vetern. I come from a long line of military men. My dad served in the Vetnaum Was. He was in the navy. My brother Phillip was in the air force. And my Dads brother Dan was in the Army. This is to let any of the turner/days know that a revised version of the original book was updated. So if you want to know what your father,grandfather,brother or uncle(Uncle Dan Turner) was doing 1970 you can buy the book. Ben Shcemmer was the author and he placed Uncle Dan Turner in the book seven times. This book will be very good reading if you would like to enjoy it. It might even let you get to know uncle Dan Turner. The book was called "The Raid,The son tay Prison Rescue Mission. My uncle was part of that mission. I am very proud to come from a family who fought for their country.

Moreno Family

This is my moms family. From left to right. My cousin Kristina, terris daughter, Then my aunt Bea, Then my aunt Maggie. Both are my moms sisters. Then my mom. My cousin Terri is sitting next to my mom and then my cousin Richards wife lillian.

The day after Surgery

Well today is the day after terri surgery. She seems to be doing well. She was able to get up today and do a little walking. It will be a long hard process. The surgery took 1 1/2 hours for the removal of the breast. The second 2 hours hours was getting the area ready for reconstruction. They put little balloon expanders under the skin so that they can slowly fill them up with fluid to stretch the skin. She will have implants put in on a later date. Hopefully they were able to get all of the cancer. It seems they caught it a very early state. Hopefully she wont need any other procedures like chemo or radiation therapy. We wont know for sure until the pathology report comes back. The cancer was in the milk ducts and the doctors feel it was all contained. It was great to spend a little time with her before the surgery and she was very strong. She said wow i feel so special with all of you hear. I told her that is what family does and that she was special. She is a strong woman and with the love and support of family she should be ok.

Cakes Cakes & More Cakes

Well this will be a busy week. Tomorrow i will spend the day at st.jospeh hospital in orange county. Then i will work on thursday and i have to get stuff together for baking. Then on friday i will spend all day baking for Holly's cake and then tawnys for her birthday on Sunday. Two parties all in the same weekend. I can't wait to make hollys cake i am trying something new. It should be fun. Tawny of course wants cupcakes so i will make dinner and then we will have cupcakes. I will post pictures after the cakes are done.
