Card Making

I have decided to start a new challenge for my self. I am going to start making home made cards. I love making them and i enjoy the time it takes to make them. I hope that when i send out my home made cards people don't look at them and say oh how cheap she is she didn't even want to spend the money to buy me a card. But i think the home made cards are so much more personal. I made two this week and i think they turn out really cute. I will try and post some pictures soon.

Painting

Well if there is one thing i learned today is never paint in the heat. Because when all the windows are open you can not have the air conditioner on. This was a long week. With the temperature in the 100 it was very hard on my family. Everything in the house a mess and everyone very hot. But in the end i love my newly painted walls and new mouldings. Love it!

Family History

In the last 10 years i have gotten very excited about searching the past. I have found the family trees get very large and very interesting. From Distant Grandfathers who fought with indians to family members who settled in New Jersey and wrote letters of recommendation to congress. Family members who set out to find new lands with 12 children and ended up where they would settle with only 8 children. Because of illness. Family who you think lived all their lives in one state and in one house and come to find out they worked on a farm 12 miles away and lived on that farm whiled they worked. Family who left a country and changed their name and i am still searching to find out why. Parents who married their young daughters off to older men so that they would have stability. This has been a wonderful journey and i enjoy it very much. I will always be searching for that next family member. Lots of things to find.

Scrapping

I am hoping to create a place where people can discuss scrapping and their love for cooking.
